How Much do Wedding Flowers Cost in CT?

Short answer: wedding flowers should cost exactly what you are willing to budget for them.
As a rule of thumb, usually around 15-20% of the total wedding budget should go towards flowers. But let’s break that idea down a bit...

Average Wedding Flower Costs Can Be Misleading:

Some sources in the wedding world mention an average wedding flower budget of $1,500: however, that average is based on expected budgets reported by users of certain wedding planning websites - what isn’t mentioned is that these sites often cater to a more modest budget clientele. And to be frank, most pricing info referenced from pre-2022 is pretty outdated; with ever increasing costs of operating and increased demand due to supply chain issues, flower prices have soared in the past three years.

*2025 flower pricing update: with steep tariffs being placed on countries which grow the majority of flowers sold in the US, prices are expected to increase dramatically this year.

All that said, here is a range you can expect…

And for a final comment on wedding flower pricing, if you choose to price shop for your floral designer…

Seeking the lowest bid on your wedding flowers may simply lead to disappointment.

Instead of price shopping with many florists until you find the lowest quote, I recommend finding a floral designer who you trust and who is a good match for your style. I promise - that will create a more beautiful outcome.
